Clay Take Out — Double Fire Kit

You make it. We bake it. Twice.

Create at home, at your own pace, then bring your bucket back to us. This kit includes two firings: a bisque firing to cone 04, then a glaze firing to cone 6 once you add color.

What's in the bucket

• Bucket with lid
• Pre-wedged white clay
• Slip
• Round ware board
• Handbuilder's tool set: sponge, wire tool, needle tool, wood scribe tool, metal rib, and serrated metal rib
• Two Blick Sumi glaze brushes
• Two firings: bisque to cone 04, then glaze to cone 6
• One oz each of black and white under glaze

How it works

1. Build your piece and let it dry completely.
2. Optional: add underglaze to your dry, unfired clay.
3. Return your bucket and we bisque fire your piece.
4. We call you when it's ready. Pick it up and glaze it at home.
5. Bring it back for the second firing to cone 6.

Firing takes about one week. Keep your brushes, sponge, tools, and any leftover glaze for future projects. Refills of clay and glaze are always available.
